The Pathology of the First Permanent Molar during the Mixed Dentition Stage—Review

Background: The eruption of the first permanent molar (FPM) marks beginning mixed dentition, which is one most dynamic periods in development and growth stomatognathic system. Aim: purpose study was to investigate pathology during transition stage between primary dentition. Materials Methods: A literature search performed Clarivate Web Science, Google Scholar, PubMed databases. Cohort cross-sectional studies, reviews, case reports, background information, expert opinion were included. Results: Ectopic frequent pathologies dentition period, ectopic maxillary FPM encountered. Hypomineralization currently prevalent hard dental tissue FPM, often association with same type damage on incisors context so-called incisor hypomineralization (MIH). particular vulnerability caries due its posteruptive enamel maturation, accomplished stage. Conclusions: Proper clinical management a demanding task for pediatric dentist great importance healthy stable occlusion.
